You Said Yes is a 21-day devotional our church created to help new believers discover more about their decision to follow Jesus and what it means for their lives. While individuals can read this book on their own, their experience will be even richer when they read this book alongside other people.
While this book is divided into 21 days, we want everyone to use it at a pace that helps them grow best. So, it might take 100 days, 21 days, or even a week. We hope that no matter the pace, people will be able to discuss what they’re learning with others.
Below, you’ll find questions tailored to each day’s reading, but you can always check in by asking questions like, “What was your biggest takeaway from today’s reading?” or “Do you have any questions or thoughts about what you’ve read?”
You might ask a few of these questions when you meet during your regular check-ins—maybe over coffee, lunch, or at church. You can also use the questions to stay connected throughout the week by sending a quick text and asking how their reading is going.
Don’t feel pressured to ask a question every day. Instead, let this be a helpful tool to get conversations started.
As new believers explore this content, they might have questions about God, faith, or the Bible—and you may or may not know the answers. Instead, you might offer godly insight and perspective and help them explore their questions by looking at God's Word together or seeking another leader for assistance - it's ok to ask for help!
